2. What we collect
- Enquiry data: name, contact details, property address and details of the work you've asked us to quote for, submitted via our contact form, by email or by phone.
- Service delivery data: site access details, photographs taken during works for record-keeping and dispute resolution, and any compliance certificates issued.
- Billing data: invoice and payment details required for accounting and HMRC obligations.
- Website analytics: anonymised information about how visitors use the site (pages viewed, device type, approximate location) collected via standard analytics tools.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide written quotes.
- To deliver, schedule and evidence the services you've engaged us for.
- To issue invoices and meet our legal accounting obligations.
- To improve the website and our service offering.
- To comply with health & safety, waste-carrier and trade-body record-keeping duties.
4. Legal basis
We process personal data under one of the following UK GDPR lawful bases: contract (to deliver services you have asked for), legitimate interests (to run our business and respond to enquiries), legal obligation (tax, accounting, regulatory record-keeping), or consent where you have actively opted in (e.g. marketing).
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with: HMRC and our accountants for tax compliance; our enquiry-handling and email platform providers; payment processors when you settle an invoice; and licenced waste carriers where duty-of-care paperwork is legally required. All processors are bound by written data-processing terms.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry data: up to 24 months after last contact. Active customer records, invoices and compliance certificates: a minimum of 6 years to satisfy HMRC and trade-certification requirements. Photographs taken during works: retained for the duration of the warranty period plus 2 years.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@deesideservices.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
