Service overview

Fly Tip Removal in Deeside & North Wales, what you actually get.

What it is

Rapid clearance of fly-tipped waste from any site, communal areas, voids, alleyways, car parks, gardens, commercial yards and rural land. Full photo documentation before and after, lawful disposal through licensed waste streams, written waste transfer note for your records, and reporting to the local authority where helpful for your insurance or prosecution case.

Who it's for

Block managers and managing agents dealing with a bin store dumped overnight, landlords who've just opened a void to find the previous tenant left half a flat behind, commercial property managers with industrial fly-tipping at gates and access roads, and developers needing site clearance before works start.

When you need it

The morning after. Fly-tipping breeds more fly-tipping, a single mattress left in a bin store invites a sofa within 48 hours. Same applies to void clearances and abandoned commercial waste. The faster the site looks clean, the slower the next incident happens.

Why it matters

Letting fly-tipped waste sit costs you: tenant complaints and rent risk, vermin and pest call-outs (which become a separate invoice), local authority enforcement notices on landowners (Section 215 of the Town and Country Planning Act), and insurance issues if a child climbs on a dumped fridge. Removing it quickly, lawfully and with paperwork stops all of that.

What happens if you wait

The real cost of leaving it.

Fly-tipping is one of those jobs where speed and paperwork matter more than price. Pay the cheapest 'man with a van' off Facebook, and there's a fair chance your waste ends up dumped in a lane two miles away, with paperwork pointing back to you. The fine for that lands on the landowner, not the dumper.

Risks of leaving it

  • Local authorities can issue Section 215 notices requiring you to clear and pay enforcement costs, even if you weren't the person who dumped.
  • If your waste is fly-tipped by an unlicensed contractor you paid, you remain liable under your Duty of Care (Environmental Protection Act 1990).
  • Vermin, rats, foxes and infestations follow within days of food waste, mattresses and soft furnishings being dumped.
  • Tenants begin adding to the pile within 48 hours, what was a small dump becomes a full clearance job.
  • Insurance can decline claims for injuries on site if fly-tipped hazards weren't removed within a reasonable time.
  • Visible fly-tipping on commercial frontage costs you walk-in customers and damages your brand standing locally.

Common mistakes we see

  • Hiring an unlicensed clearance, no waste carrier number, no transfer note, no paper trail back from the tip.
  • Paying cash with no invoice, leaves you exposed if the waste turns up dumped elsewhere with your details in it.
  • Asking the on-site cleaner to 'shift it', it's a different qualification, different vehicle and different insurance.
  • Leaving the dump in place 'until the bin store is empty', by then the pile has doubled and the cost has doubled with it.
  • Not photographing the scene before clearance, destroys any chance of pursuing the perpetrator or recovering costs.
  • Throwing it into the residential bins, gets the bins refused on collection day and triggers a council warning to the freeholder.

Our process

How we deliver, step by step.

  1. 1

    Call & site triage

Phone 01244 529900 with rough volume, access details and a couple of photos. We'll quote on the call where possible and dispatch from the closest crew.

  2. 2

    Documentation on arrival

Crew photographs the entire scene before lifting a thing, wide shots, close-ups of contents, vehicle access route. We log a job sheet against your property reference.

  3. 3

    Sort & lift

Recyclables (metal, wood, cardboard, hard plastics) separated where volume allows. Hazardous items (fridges, mattresses, paint, asbestos-suspected) flagged and handled under separate streams.

  4. 4

    Lawful disposal

Waste taken to licensed transfer stations only. Waste Transfer Note generated against your account, sent to you and kept on our system as long as the law requires.

  5. 5

    Clean-down & sanitisation

Site brushed, jet-washed where needed, and treated with a disinfecting agent on bin store floors and similar surfaces. Smell and residue gone, not just the visible pile.

  6. 6

    Report & reference

Photo pack (before, during, after), waste transfer note and recommended next steps emailed within 24 hours. If a report to the local authority would help your case, we'll prepare that with you.

What you get

The benefits, in plain English.

Often gone the same day

Call before 10am and there's a strong chance the site is clean by close of business, depending on volume and your location.

Legally compliant disposal

Waste carrier registration on every vehicle, transfer notes against every job. You're never the cheap link in a chain that ends in a fine.

Photo evidence on file

Full before/during/after photo set, usable for insurance, council reporting, recovery against the tenant or perpetrator.

Bin stores left sanitary

Not just empty, brushed, washed, disinfected. The smell and the rats don't come back the following week.

Discreet on tenanted sites

Crew in uniform, branded vehicle, polite to residents. Properly turned out, not a battered van and a bare-chested labourer.

Recharge-friendly invoicing

Itemised, dated and referenced against your property, so it goes straight onto the next service charge or tenant recharge without you re-keying anything.

The detail that matters

Fly Tip Removal: materials, methods & specifications.

Fly-tipping isn't one job, it's about a dozen. Each waste type has its own legal route, its own vehicle and its own price. Understanding what's in the pile tells you what the clearance actually costs, and why a flat-rate quote 'sight unseen' should be treated with suspicion.

Domestic mixed waste

Bagged household waste, food, soft plastics, small furniture, toys. Highest volume, lowest unit cost. Loaded loose or in our bags, taken to a transfer station, weighed and charged at the standard rate. Fastest category to clear.

Mattresses & soft furnishings

Each mattress carries a per-unit disposal charge at the transfer station (typically £15–£25 plus VAT each) because of fire-retardant coating recycling rules. We price the mattress count separately so you can see the real cost driver.

White goods (fridges, freezers, washers)

Fridges and freezers are hazardous waste because of the refrigerant gas. They go through a separate WEEE-licensed route at a higher per-unit cost. Washers and dryers go through standard metal/WEEE recycling streams.

Garden & green waste

Soil, turf, hedge cuttings, branches, plant matter. Goes to a green-waste transfer station for composting. Cheaper than mixed, but volume builds quickly and a 'small pile' is often a half-tonne by the time it's loaded.

Construction & DIY waste

Rubble, plasterboard, broken tile, timber, paint tins. Plasterboard is segregated (it contains gypsum, which is regulated). Paint is hazardous if liquid. We sort on lift, not at the depot, saves you the higher mixed-waste rate.

Suspected asbestos

If we suspect asbestos in the load (textured ceiling sheets, garage roof fragments, old pipe lagging), we stop, isolate, and bring in a UKAS-accredited asbestos removal contractor under a separate quote. Never lifted into a mixed load, both illegal and dangerous.

Commercial yards & access roads

Larger volumes, often industrial waste, sometimes vehicle parts and tyres (tyres are a controlled waste with their own disposal rules). We bring grab-lorries or hook-lifts depending on site access, and price by tonnage rather than van-load above a threshold.

Void property clearances

Half-step between fly tip and full house clearance. We can do both. Void clearance includes garden, sheds and lofts, with itemised reporting of anything of resale value, anything personal that should be preserved (documents, photos), and anything hazardous needing separate handling.

Across Deeside, Wrexham, Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and into Cumbria, same crew, same kit, same paperwork standard.

FAQ

Honest answers, before you call.

How quickly can you remove a fly tip?

+

Often the same day for calls booked before lunchtime, depending on location and volume. Larger industrial dumps may need a grab-lorry which we'd usually mobilise within 24–48 hours.

How much does fly-tip removal cost?

+

From around £180 + VAT for a small van-load of mixed waste in our core area, up to several thousand for large industrial dumps with mattresses, fridges or suspected asbestos. We quote on the call from photos where possible.

Do you provide a waste transfer note?

+

Yes, every job. Required by law under the Duty of Care, and it's the only paperwork that protects you if your waste were ever found dumped again. Issued against your property or account reference.

What if there's asbestos in the pile?

+

We stop, isolate the area, and bring in a UKAS-accredited asbestos contractor under a separate quote. We never lift suspected asbestos into a mixed load, it's illegal and unsafe.

Can you clear voids and house clearances too?

+

Yes, same crew, same paperwork. Void property clearances often include garden, sheds and lofts. We'll itemise anything of value or anything personal we think you'd want preserved.

Do you operate at night or weekends?

+

Yes. 24/7 emergency response, useful for commercial sites that can't lose customer parking during trading hours, or blocks where a same-night clean stops the pile growing overnight.

Will you sanitise the area after lifting?

+

Yes. Bin store floors and similar surfaces get brushed, jet-washed where appropriate, and treated with a disinfecting agent. The smell and the pest-attractant residue go with the waste.

Can you help with a council enforcement notice?

+

Yes, including preparing the photo pack and waste transfer record the local authority will want to see, and (if you're pursuing the perpetrator) a written statement of work for your solicitor.
