Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the provision of property maintenance and facilities management services by Deeside Management Services Ltd (Company No. 07305270), trading from 22–23 Engineer Park, Deeside, CH5 2QD ("we", "us", "DMS") to the customer ("you"). By instructing us, verbally, by email or via our website form, you agree to these terms.

1. Quotes & estimates

  • Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
  • Verbal estimates given on site or by phone are indicative until confirmed in writing.
  • Quotes are based on the information and access provided at the time of inspection. Material changes or unforeseen conditions (concealed damage, hazardous materials, additional access requirements) may require a revised quote, which we will agree with you before continuing.

2. Scheduling & site access

Scheduled works will be booked to a mutually agreed date. You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time. Wasted-call charges may apply if our team is unable to gain access through no fault of ours.

3. Emergency call-outs

Reactive and emergency call-outs are charged at our published or quoted call-out rate plus parts and labour. Where possible we will provide an indicative cost before commencing work. Make-safe action will be carried out as a priority before any permanent repair is scoped and quoted.

4. Payment terms

  • Domestic customers: payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Commercial customers and account holders: payment terms are 14 days from invoice date unless an alternative period is agreed in writing.
  • Larger or multi-stage works may require a deposit or stage payments as detailed in the written quote.
  • Overdue invoices may be subject to statutory interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Cancellations

You may cancel a scheduled job at no cost provided you give us at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations inside 24 hours may incur a charge to cover allocated labour and materials already ordered.

6. Workmanship & warranty

All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion, subject to normal use and fair wear. Manufacturer warranties on installed products (boilers, roofing systems, electrical components etc.) apply for the periods stated by the manufacturer. Warranty claims must be raised in writing with photographs.

7. Materials & ownership

Materials supplied by DMS remain our property until paid for in full. Customer-supplied materials are installed without warranty as to their suitability or longevity.

8. Insurance & liability

We hold public liability insurance appropriate to the works we undertake. Our liability under any contract is limited to the cost of putting right defective workmanship, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (including for personal injury or death caused by negligence). We are not liable for consequential loss, loss of profit or business interruption.

9. Health, safety & compliance

We comply with all applicable UK health & safety, electrical (BS 7671), gas (Gas Safe), and waste-carrier legislation. You agree to disclose any known hazards on site (asbestos, fragile structures, dangerous animals etc.) before works commence.

10. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our work, please contact us at info@deesideservices.com or 01244 529900 within 14 days of completion. We will respond within 5 working days and aim to resolve issues within 30 days.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
